There are many plants and trees growing in the garden and greenhouses of the Hortus. Some species are very rare or notable because of their size or they have played a role in the history of the garden and some parts of the garden cannot be missed.

Green survival
In collobaration with the The Hague Campus of Leiden University the Hortus organises a series of lectures with the theme ‘Green Survival’. A seminar on the importance of plant life to human survival. The lectures will either be at the The Hague Campus or at the Hortus botanicus Leiden. Time: 16 - 18 p.m.
